Belgium Natural Waffle
Also called “gaufre de Liege “ because of its origin which traces to 18th century when the Archbishop of Liege asked his cook to prepare him something sweet and tasty. The result is a leavened dough made of cinnamon, vanilla sugar, crystallized sugar, flour, milk and butter.
It has to be warmed up before eaten and gives then off a particular smelt of sugar.
